Our Equipment This is a list of what we're currently using in our live show. I'm a bit of a gear nut, so this will likely change from month to month. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments, and from fellow musicians, I'd love any suggestions or thoughts on how you think our live sound can be improved. Thanks! If you can make the investment, it will change the whole way you play live. As a singer, it's like you're in a studio, and you feel that you can sing forever. I'll never go back. The Sennheiser G2 is a killer system, really clear, and Sensaphonics makes some awesome custom ear pieces. I'm really digging my new vocal mic, it's a Neumann KMS105, I got curious after I kept seeing it on the stages of singers I loved, so I picked one up. It's the real deal... Incredible Stuff. I run that into a PreSonus Eureka Preamp, with a dbx 166XL patched across the insert for the real vocal compression. After that, I use the milder PreSonus compression with a high pass filter for de-essing, and then add just a little bit of EQ before I send it out to the board. I run an AUX feed off the board out to the TC M-One XL for delay and reverb, which I then mix back in on the return. I'm more happy with my vocal sound now than I've ever been, and I really recommend all that stuff. It won't break the bank either... but its certainly everything we need! |
